Pistol Proficiency Badges
The Pistol Marksmanship Qualification Badges are awarded to anyone who wishes to take standardized pistol tests from Downrange Daddy. They are valid for two years unless one decides to take is again to improve one’s rating. Experts generally get invited to become training models and are automatically qualified to take instructor qualification courses.
Pistol Marksman
The Pistol Marksman Badge is awarded to the Downrange Buddy who meets the minimum requirements to be called one. This badge is a symbol of proficiency in manual of arms, safety and marksmanship.
Pistol Sharp Shooter
The Pistol Sharp Shooter Badge is awarded to the Downrange Buddy who does not yet meet the minimum requirements to be called an Expert but shows proficiency beyond that of a Marksman. This badge is a symbol of above average proficiency in manual of arms, safety and marksmanship.
Pistol Expert
The Pistol Expert Badge is awarded to the Downrange Buddy who shows more proficiency than a Sharp Shooter and beyond that of a Marksman. This badge is a symbol of above Excellence in manual of arms, safety and marksmanship.
Rifle Proficiency Badges
The best way to determine your skillsets is to benchmark them against a standard. Downrange Daddy’s standards surpass those of government’s because of the need for safer ways to handle firearms and increase accountability.
Rifle Marksman
The Rifle Marksman Badge is awarded to the individual who shows familiarity with the rifle platform. In both manual of arms and proficiency, this is the lowest proficiency rating anyone with a rifle is given. Be that as it may – unfortunately – not everyone qualifies to wear it.
Rifle Sharp Shooter
Showing more proficiency in both manual of arms and marksmanship, the Sharp Shooter badge is awarded to the individual who does not qualify for Expert but shows skills beyond that of Marksman. Anyone with it can be considered safe around firearms and proficient with it.
Rifle Expert
The Rife Expert Badge reminds its bearers that perfection is impossible but awards them the right to say that they know rifles more than most. In both manual of arms and proficiency, Experts display knowledge and skills that can be further honed and applied in more advanced trainings and performance tasks.
Carbine Proficiency Badges
Carbine Marksman
Entry level badges like the Carbine Marksman Badge do not just say you meet minimum standards in hitting targets. It means you are able to safely manipulate your carbine in a safe and efficient manner consistent with Downrange Daddy’s philosophy of safe and efficient shooting.
Carbine Sharp Shooter
Second Tier badges like the Carbine Sharp Shooter Badge tell others that you meet above minimum standards in hitting targets. It also means you are able to safely manipulate your carbine in a safe and efficient manner better than most who subscribe to Downrange Daddy’s philosophy of safe and efficient shooting.
Carbine Expert
Top Tier badges like the Carbine Expert Badge do not just say you are at the apex of standards in hitting targets. It means you are able to safely manipulate your carbine in a safe and efficient manner doctrinally consistent with Downrange Daddy’s philosophy of safe and efficient shooting. It also means you are ready for higher order marksmanship tasks and trainings and are gifted with the capacity to be consistent.
Machine Gun Proficiency Badges
Machine Gun Marksman
Entry Level badges like the MG Marksman Badge do not just say you meet standards in hitting targets with MG’s. It means you are able to safely manipulate your MG in a safe and efficient manner doctrinally consistent with Downrange Daddy’s philosophy of safe and efficient shooting.
Machine Gun Sharp Shooter
Mid-Tier badges like the Carbine Sharp Shooter Badge do not just say you are better than most at hitting targets. It means you are able to understand your MG and use it in a safe and efficient manner doctrinally consistent with @thedownrangedaddy’s philosophy of safe and efficient shooting.
Machine Gun Expert
Top Tier badges like the MG Expert Badge do not just say you are at the apex of standards in hitting targets. It means you are able to safely manipulate your MG in a safe and efficient manner doctrinally consistent with Downrange Daddy’s philosophy of safe and efficient shooting. It also means you understand Crew Served Weapons better than most and are ready for higher order MG marksmanship tasks and trainings and are gifted with the capacity to relay MG Instructions.
